ELGO-DEMETER (coordinator) will analyse the available scientific data on animal welfare, quality assurance standards, as well as the level of awareness of stakeholders and behavioural dynamics of dairy consumers (WP1). Additionally, ELGO-DEMETER will actively participate in all Work Packages and coordinate dissemination and publicity actions for the project, including the Dairy Cows Farmers’ School and Dairy Industry Information Day. ELGO-DIMITRA plays a vital role in the project’s implementation.

Qlab, in collaboration with Baltic Control Certification, will document the practices and criteria necessary for the development of the CoWel Quality Standard. Additionally, QLab will coordinate specific dissemination activities of the project results by creating printed and electronic informational materials, including website content, press releases, presence on social media, and brochures.

MEVGAL will be responsible for absorbing the quantities of milk produced according to the criteria of the CoWel standard. Simultaneously, MEVGAL will conduct market research and technical-economic analysis to explore the commercial exploitation of CoWel. Additionally, MEVGAL will provide feedback on the results to finalize the standard and develop parallel consumer awareness initiatives. Collaborating with QLab, MEVGAL will execute all activities to promote the new quality system standard. Moreover, MEVGAL will organize a Consumer Awareness Day/Consumer Awareness Campaign.

Farma Rokou (Rokou Maria) & G.&K. Kefalas O.E. will implement the CoWel Standard by modeling their farms in the “demonstration farms” of the project (WP4). Darginakis Adam will be responsible for supplying certified high-quality feed to the demonstration farms, adhering to the CoWel Standard.

The Kefalas-Darginaki Farm Group and Lagada Agribusiness Group will aid in promoting the Standard and informing other potential stakeholders outside the Operational Group.
